Can you donate party food and drinks to help sick kids and their families?
Star PALS are a charity that support seriously ill children and their families. On 25 and 27 November 2016 they will be holding fun family cooking days for some of their clients.
They have invited BA members to supply refreshments like tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks, to help make the days fun and memorable ones for the families involved.
Star PALS is one of the five charities supported by the British Association.
Help support fun cooking classes for seriously ill kids and their families
For the past two years, the BA has been supporting Star PALS, a paediatrics palliative care service for children under the age of 19. The service is provided by HCA Hospice Care (HCA). A key goal of HCA and Star PALS is to provide multi-disciplinary home hospice care. Teams of Star PALS doctors, nurses, social workers and volunteers “serve with love and hope in mind” to ensure that younger patients can spend their last days at home, in comfort and with their families. They also arrange fun outings and events.
On 25 and 27 November 2016, Star PALS will be holding fun cooking classes for their clients and their families. Around 30 people are expected to attend each event.
Can you help create some wonderful memories for these kids and their families? All you need to do is donate some party food or drink like tea, coffee, cold drinks, crisps and other nibbles.
