Step back into a more gracious era by visiting some of these beautiful & iconic colonial houses, set in green & tranquil oases. Built from the end of the 19th century, through to the 1960s with a boom in their construction from just after WW1 to the eve of WW2, they were mainly homes for civil servants & military personnel. Incorporating a mix of architectural influences, they come in many different styles & sizes from "tropical Tudor" to “art deco”
Learn more about their history, architecture, and role in Singapore's heritage from our knowledgeable & passionate guide, Jane. You'll also hear stories of who lived in them, why they were built, and how they are being used both as residences and commercial establishments these days.
We visit 4 private B&W houses in different parts of Singapore. Travel is by air conditioned coach & mid morning refreshments are included in the price.
