Chinese New Year is the most important festival in the Chinese calendar and even if you have lived in Singapore for some time, you are bound to learn something new from our popular and hugely knowledgeable guide, Diana Chua.
Diana will take us through many of the popular, as well as lesser known, streets of Chinatown festooned with red lanterns, and past colourful shops selling festive fares.
She will explain about the customs and superstitions surrounding this festival. Along the route we will visit a Chinese Temple, a street of the clans as well as some of the fascinating local traders. We will also check out a local bakery selling freshly baked New Year goodies, such as pineapple tarts and love letters, delicious!
Don't miss this excellent opportunity to hear about some of the local traditions, try some yummy food that is only available once a year* and grab some festive treats.
