Eden Hall is the residence of The British High Commissioner, it was built just over 100 years ago as a private home. During the tour, our guide Philippa, will reveal the story of how a humble boarding house became the Commissioner's residence and talk us through the history behind some of the paintings and artefacts on show.
We may be lucky enough to have a 'tasty' addition to the tour; the chance to pop into the kitchens and see how the house prepares its banqueting for all manner of events throughout the year. We will also be able to stroll around the beautiful gardens.
Delicious refreshments will be served at the end of the tour in the dining room. Anne Wightman, the High Commissioner's wife, is hoping to join us and welcome us to her home on the day.
Photography for personal use is allowed.
SECURITY: with your booking form please provide: Full name; Nationality; Passport Number. Bring your passport and NRIC on the day. There will be a security check, so please bring a small bag as bulky items will not be allowed in.
