We have been invited to join with HOI members (the Dutch network) to visit Pulau Kusu (Turtle Island) during pilgrimage season.
Every year, thousands of pilgrims from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia visit Pulau Kusu at the time to go to the Chinese temple and the Malay 'Keramats'. This island has a rich history and is the one and only pilgrimage island of Singapore. Our guide, Diana, will tell us about the history, culture and the legend of the name of the island.
Visiting the Keramats includes some walking, climbing and descending 225 steps.
Please bring insect repellent, umbrella and sun lotion.
On this tour we can buy drinks from the temporary stalls (at own cost)
Parking: There is a small car park at the pier and a larger one at the cruise centre which is a short walk
Limited places, please book early.
There are drinks available (at own expense) but please bring water, an umbrella and wear comfortable shoes.
